Nestled along the coast of the Hamptons, this landscape design integrates a refined architectural language with the raw elegance of the dune ecosystem. A flush bluestone terrace anchors the residence, offering a seamless transition from interior to exterior and framing expansive ocean views. From there, a weathered boardwalk extends organically into the landscape, guiding movement through sculptural dune planting and gently shifting topography. The use of elevation change is subtle yet intentional, creating a layered spatial flow that moves from structured terrace to open dune without interruption.

The planting palette prioritizes coastal resilience and seasonal interest, featuring salt-tolerant species like Amsonia hubrichtii, Rosa rugosa, and Panicum virgatum. Together, they provide softness, texture, and ecological integrity while echoing the colors and forms of the surrounding landscape. The result is a garden that feels both elevated and effortless—an immersive experience of coastal living that respects site ecology while elevating the client’s connection to place.
