Marco Bianchi

Marco Bianchi is a landscape architect known for his quiet rigor, intuitive spatial sensibility, and deep reverence for place. With a background in both landscape architecture and environmental design, Marco brings a uniquely holistic perspective to every project—one that bridges ecology, architecture, and human experience with restraint and clarity.

After over a decade designing institutional and residential landscapes across the East Coast and abroad, Marco co-founded Fairway Design in 2016 to create work that reflects both precision and poetry. He leads projects ranging from cultural campuses to coastal estates, always beginning with close site observation and a commitment to honoring the landscape’s natural intelligence.

Marco's work is characterized by clean geometries, sensitive grading, and native-forward planting strategies that feel at once contemporary and timeless. He thrives in collaboration with architects and artisans, often shaping the land in ways that are felt more than seen. His approach is quiet but exacting, resulting in spaces that unfold slowly and live well over time.

He holds a Master of Landscape Architecture from the University of Virginia and a B.A. in Environmental Studies from Bowdoin College.
